With the mid week weather hotting up earlier this week, we packed up and headed south to explore this pretty cove. With easy parking across the road and a short walk down to the shore, this beach is easy to access and has everything you’ll need for a good day out. The beach is big enough to not be cramped, but small enough to spot your friends or watch the little ones paddling in the water.

The bay was calm this week and great for a dip or spot of paddle boarding, but the waves can pick up and is popular with surfers, either way it’s nice to know the beach is life guarded.
The added bonus at Poldhu Cove is the super little cafe, Poldhu Beach Cafe. Set on the left in the dunes It’s got a lot to offer and we found ourselves popping up every now and then for a refreshing drink, an ice cream, some lunch and even a wind break…so if you come slightly unprepared, there’s no need to panic!
So, with sandy feet and salty hair we packed up and headed home after enjoying this great little spot on the south coast of Cornwall. Be sure to pay a visit this summer.
